This collaborative project proposes a design for Su Jin, a re-defined fine dining experience located in the mountains of Seoul. The name originates from Sino-Korean, which is an ancient dialect of the Korean Language. Sino-Korean vocabulary includes references from Chinese characters as well as words borrowed from Sino-Japanese vocabulary. The translation of “Su” correlates to gather and harvest, and “Jin” relates to precious and rare. This connects to our concept and story of learning from nature’s everlasting beauty.

Inspired by the three pillars of Biomimicry: Form, Process, and Ecosystem, Su Jin was designed to not only challenge the status quo of fine dining but to redefine the industry. The restaurant strives to shift paradigms by reconnecting users to the source of their food.
